Concept

The KIMONO Denim Shirt is a hybrid design that merges the silhouette of a kimono with the familiarity of a denim shirt. Crafted from lightweight Okayama denim, it offers comfort and structure while remaining easy to wear in everyday life.

The wide sleeves evoke traditional kimono construction, changing expression with movement. Whether worn buttoned as a shirt or open as a light haori-style layer, it adapts naturally to the wearer.

Artwork – Shamo

This special version features bold artwork on the back, inspired by Shamo-zu, a renowned rooster painting by Edo-period artist Ito Jakuchu.

The powerful figure of the rooster spreads across the back, creating the impression of wearing a living artwork. It captures the vitality of life itself—where traditional Japanese art and modern denim come together in a truly one-of-a-kind piece.
